The organisers have just announced that that they’ll be releasing details of the big names between February 27 – March 5.
This comes just after it was revealed that Pete Tong is the first act confirmed for V 2017.
Legendary DJ Pete Tong will be performing a set at the festival, which takes place from August 19-20 in Hylands Park, Chelmsford and Weston Park in Staffordshire.
The Radio One star tweeted on Tuesday (February 21) that he’ll be bringing his Ibiza Classics set to V Festival this year, where he’s thought to be playing the Dance Tent.

Rumours have been flying around over the last few weeks about who the main headliners will be. Speculation has mainly focused on band and artists who have albums out this year and who could be doing the festival rounds, including the likes of Ed Sheeran, The Killers, The Kaiser Chiefs and Craig David.
The last few years have seen huge American acts headline the main stage including Justin Bieber and Rihanna in 2016, Justin Timberlake in 2014 and Beyonce in 2013. V Festival organisers are sure to have tried to secure another massive name from the US for this year but there’s only rumours for now on who that might be. Some of the most popular acts which whose names keep popping up include Drake, Lady Gaga, The Foo Fighters, Eminem and Mary J Blige?

The only big acts we can probably rule out are those already confirmed to headline other festivals like Radiohead (Glastonbury), Muse and Kasabian (Reading), Justin Bieber (Hyde Park) and Run DMC (Isle of Wight).
Tickets are also expected to go on sale very soon. Last year there was an exclusive pre-sale for Chelmsford residents who lived within a three-mile radius of Hylands Park on February 25, with general ticket sales starting the day after on February 26. Chelmsford music fans are hoping for a similar pre-sale this year allowing them a better chance of grabbing the first few tickets.

The Kaiser Chiefs perform at V 2016
V Festival 2016 was one of the most talked about in the event’s history, largely due to American megastars Justin Bieber and Rihanna. Unfortunately Justin’s gig was marred by the weather when strong winds meant he had to cancel a waterfall feature on stage, and festival-goers also accused him of miming.
Other acts which made waves in 2016 were Sia, David Guetta, Little Mix, Example, Jess Glynne, Years & Years, Faithless, Tinie Tempah, DJ EZ and Craig David’s TS5.
