Lily Allen Tickets
Lily Allen has just opened the Brits Awards 2010 singing the fear and arriving on stage in a flying rocket. Lily Allen returns to the UK after touring OZ you can see Lily Allen live in March when she performs with Dizzee Rascal at the O2 Arena and Men Arena.
Lily Allen released her second album “it’s not me, it’s you” on regal recordings on February 9, 2009.
The album was preceded by the single “the fear” which was released on January 26.
“Now I lie here in the wet patch in the middle of the bed,
I’m feeling pretty damn hard done by, I’ve spent ages giving head”.
Lily Allen returned with the much anticipated release of her second album “It’s Not Me, It’s You” on Regal Recordings on February 9, 2009.
The album features twelve brand new tracks and is the follow up to her debut “Alright Still” which sold over 2.5 million copies worldwide and spawned the classic No 1 single “Smile”. This and a string of equally incisive singles catapulted the then 21 year old artist into massive global recognition and success. By now she was recognized not only as the foremost musical talent of her generation but also as the most innovative.
A succession of collaborations with artists including Robbie Williams, Mark Ronson, Common, Dizzee Rascal, Jamie T and the Kaiser Chiefs further enhanced Lily’s reputation as an artist of unusual diversity.
Two years later, “Its Not Me, It’s You” still celebrates Lily’s supreme pop artistry but this time there’s a depth and a dexterity to many of the songs that moves her even further ahead of her contemporaries. Quite simply, the breadth of vision displayed in these twelve songs reminds us of Lily’s often overlooked songwriting prowess and, more fundamentally, that she is a bloody great 21st century pop star – in other words, what she did first and what she does best. The proof is back where it belongs – within this remarkable collection of new music.
