The welsh rockers Stereophonics are to embart on a full UK tour in March 2010, playing the biggest arenas in the country. Popular Welsh rockers will be playing Manchester and Sheffield dates next March! THE Stereophonics are being lined up for a headline-grabbing opening concert at the Cardiff City Stadium, the Echo understands.
Councillors on the city’s planning committee were yesterday being asked to give permission to leave two dates open in May and June this year for gigs at the 27,000-seater venue in Leckwith.
lthough there has been local opposition because of noise and parking concerns, officers are recommending that the club be given permission to host the events.
The application is for two gigs in an unnamed 10-day period between May 1 and June 30 this year.

Curtis James Jackson III, alias 50 Cent, has announced two dates as part of a possible upcoming UK tour next year. The self-styled US rapper will play at Dublin’s O2 (Point) on March 21st and Belfast’s Odyssey on the 22nd in support of his most recent album, ‘Before I Self Destruct’.
