The Download Festival organisers have pulled off another coup by signing up US rock legends Aerosmith, one fo the greatest rock n roll bands from America Ever. Download 2010 will also be headlined by Rage against the Machine, and this is on top of the confirmation of AC/DC last month.
Aerosmith will grace the home of metal in the UK Donington Park for the first time in 16 years. They played the Monster of Rock Festival in 1994, and 1990 at Castle Donington, and will be itching to get back on the stage, Steven Tyler is one of the greatest live performers. Aerosmith are bound to play some of their greatest hits like “I dont want to miss a thing” from Armageddon, Dude looks like a lady, love in a elevator and Walk this way.
Rage Against the Machine, made the headliners this christmas as they took the number 1 spot of the X Factor winner for the first time in ages, as people power via a Facebook campaign helped them to number 1. Rage Against the Machine will play the main stage at Download for the first time, RATM were entered into the hall of fame by Kerrang in 2008.
Rage Against The Machine and Aerosmith will headline for this year’s Download festival.
Aerosmith with Steven Tyler, and Rage Against The Machine have been announced as headliners at this year’s festival, which returns for an eighth year to Donington Park and will be held over the weekend of Friday 11th to Sunday 13th June 2010. Tonight’s announcement will be added to at half past midnight, check back then for more acts.
American rock legends Aerosmith will return to the main stage at Donington Park for the first time in 16 years. They last played as headliners of the Donington Monsters Of Rock Festival in 1990 and 1994, Steven Tyler, Joe Perry et al return this summer as Sunday headliners.
Rage Against The Machine who scored the UK Christmas No. 1 single last year, play Download for the first time on the festival’s main stage on Saturday. The band recently announced a free gig in Finsbury Park, London which saw more than 120,000 register for tickets.
Previously confirmed acts include AC/DC headlining on the Friday, with a supporting card including Them Crooked Vultures, Wolfmother, Bullet For My Valentine, Motorhead, Deftones, Stone Temple Pilots, Volbeat, and Megadeth also confirmed.

The Download 2010 has been announced. The launch of Download Festival was announced on Radio 1 tonight by Zane Lowe, with the first 6 bands for the rock music festival which takes place at Donington Park derby on the weekend of of Friday 11th to Sunday 13th June 2010.
The 8th Download Festival is set to be the biggest yet. The line up for Download Festival will include AC/DC who will celebrate 30 years in the business by playing at the home of the rock Castle Donington.
AC/DC announced themselves on their website saying

“England…this summer, there’s gonna be some rockin’! With three Monsters of Rock Festivals under their belt, AC/DC has a history of bringing the big guns to the UK’s Donington Park, and this June, they’re coming back for another go around. Get ready.”

The Download Festival takes place this weekend ( Friday 12th June to 14th June 2009) at the home of rock Donington Park.
So you have your ticket? but how are you going to get there? Travel to Download Festival by Coach, National Express Coach to Download Festival are running this week and it is still not too late to book a coach ticket for download festival 2009.

The Download Line up includes rock gods like Def Leppard , Motley Crue, Faith No More, The Prodigy, Marilyn Manson and Slipknot.

National Express are running coaches direct to Download Festival Site. On the National Express Website site just add “Download Festival travel only” in the destination, and add a town near you.

The Download Festival returns again this month when headbangers of the world unite at the home of heavy metal donnington park in Derby.

The bars stay open after the entertainment has finished, and running until 2am (Friday to Sunday) they’ll be an after-hours Campsite Entertainment Zone, which has a café, beer stall, funfair rides, various shops, and a cinema..

Download Festival have advised that there has been a limited release of day tickets. Tickets are on sale now for £60 for each day. The headliners are KISS, The Offspring and Lostprophets.

Bullet for my Valentine or BFMV are download festival veterans having played in 2004, 2005 and 2006. Their latest album is Scream aim fire, and their top hit is the tracked named scream aim fire

Biffy Clyro are one of the bands of the moment their latest album is called Puzzle and went in at number 2 in the charts, they are download favourites playing the festival 4 times.

Fightstar have played the download just once, but they will be keen to really rock the joint this time around.
