Eric Clapton is to tour the UK with a a massive 5 nights at Royal Albert Hall.
After several sold-out show in 2008 throughout North America, Europe and Scandinavia, Eric Clapton has confirmed that eight UK dates in May 2009. Three years ago, his last visit to London’s Royal Albert Hall, a world renowned guitarist will return to the six shows that this legendary place, also show the Manchester Evening News Arena, and his first visit to Liverpool Echo Arena.
ROCK legend Eric Clapton is to take the stage, in the Liverpool ECHO arena. He will perform in the city as one of the eight-day trip to Britain next year, which will be held in the back row Venda shows throughout North America, Scandinavia and Europe in 2008.
As part of its British tour next May he will do a show in Liverpool on 13 May as well as performances, Manchester, Dublin and 11-night task Royal Albert Hall in London.
In the 63-year-old singer used the nickname Slow Hand early musical career Busking around London and West End, before he joined his first band, the rooster, 1963. In October 1963 he was recruited him to become a member of The Yard Birds in 1965 he was invited to join John Mayall’s Bluesbreakers.
After leaving the Bluesbreakers in July 1966, Eric along with Jack Bruce and Ginger Baker to form Cream.
Although a member of Cream, he cemented his reputation as the premier rock guitarist and was elevated to superstar status. Although the cream has been accompanied by only two years, they are considered to be one of the most influential rock groups of the era.
During his career, which included more than 40 years, Eric Clapton has received many awards.
It is the only triple inductee to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame (as a member of the Yard Birds and Cream and as a solo artist). He has also won or shared in eighteen Grammy Awards.
