Folk heroes Fleet Foxes are to come over to the UK to play a one off show in London at the HMV Hammersmith Apollo on Tuesday 31st May. The shows will support their second album, Helplessness Blues, released on 3rd May, the follow up to their highly-acclaimed 2008 self-titled debut.
Tickets for Fleet Foxes one-off gig in London this spring go on sale today (February 4).The US band will play Hammersmith Apollo on May 31 in support of their much-anticipated new album ‘Helplessness Blues’.
The album was recorded over the course of a year at Avast Recording, Bear Creek Studios, Dreamland Studios, and Reciprocal Recording. It was mixed by Phil Ek and co-produced by Fleet Foxes and Ek.
Fleet Foxes are also scheduled to play a number of US dates throughout May before arriving in the UK for their London show.
2011 heralds the return of the angelically voiced troupe, starting with a brand new album on Bella Union called “Helplessness Blues” and just the one (so far) UK date to plug it. The album will see the light of day in May, as well as their good selves of course! Fleet Foxes will play Hammersmith Apollo on 31st May and tickets will go on sale Friday at 9am – demand will be intense, to say the least.
