The COACHELLA VALLEY MUSIC & ARTS FESTIVAL is back bigger and better for 2008. More commonly known as the Coachella Festival.
Coachella 2008 takes place on Friday, April 25, Saturday, April 26 and Sunday, April 27 at Empire Polo Field in Indio, California..

The line up was announced last week and the highlights include Roger Waters who will do the full dark side of the moon album. Bristol band Portishead who are one of the pioneers of down-tempo electronic music with distinct hip-hop, jazz and dub influences that came to be known as Trip Hop. The Verve, Kraftwerk and super star DJ Fatboy Slim will all play in the dessert. The Streets and even 80s ska faves Madness will be performing. Check out full coachella festival line up

The Hyde Park Calling Festival has been announced, and it has a new name “Hard Rock Calling” the festival takes place on the weekend of Saturday 28th June 2008 to Sunday 29th June 2008 at London’s Hard Park.

The headliners are Eric Clapton on Saturday 28th June and The Police on Sunday 29th June

Tickets go on sale on Friday 1st February 2008 with day tickets £50 on Saturday and £65 for Sunday and a weekend ticket £110.

Amy Winehouse has official gone into rehab, a press statement from her record company has confirmed today. This follows a the sun newspaper who showed a video of her which looked like she was taking drugs. We want to hear your views comment below

She agreed to go into rehab after talks with her managment family and doctors. She has canncelled all further appearances and inteviews.

Her decision followed the leak earlier this week of a home video that showed her smoking something in a glass pipe minutes after she is heard saying she had just taken six tablets of the anti-anxiety drug Valium.
Scotland Yard confirmed they would investigate the video. Winehouse is famous for the battles with addiction and had a hit with a song “rehab”

The rumoured festival in New York has been confirmed, the All Points West Music & Arts Festival as it will be known will be a 3 day festival from Friday 8th August until Sunday 10th August at Liberty State Park in New Jersey. This event will be at the same time as the Vineland Festival, which is being run by Festival Republic.

Superclub Gatecrasher have announced the first acts for their Gatecrasher Weekend Summer Sound System 2008, and old skool techno superstars The Prodigy are to headline.

The gatecrasher festival will be taking place in Northampton, after last years event took place in Leeds. The event will be extended to a two day event. The dates for your diary are Saturday 24th and Sunday 25th May 2008.

Dolly Parton Tickets are on Sale now

Glastonbury Festival will stage an event in Liverpool as part of the City of Culture celebrations, it has been announced.

The union organisers who run the Left Field area of Glastonbury will host an evening of music showcasing local bands on May 14.

The event will also raise funds for an international anti-slavery campaign.

The Left Field is known for mixing music and politics at the world-famous festival.

A LITTLE bit of Glastonbury will be coming to Liverpool as part of the Capital of Culture celebrations, it has been announced.

For the first time ever, organisers of the Left Field area of the famous festival are moving out of Somerset for a special one-off gig.
