Pulp first formed in the town of Sheffield way back in 1978, and featured a sound that some claimed was a mix between the heavier music of The Fall and the poppy synth of Disco. After suffering a series of tough gigs and even tougher audiences, Pulp eventually broke into the mainstream in 1992 when they released their hit album “O.U (Gone, Gone)”. They then signed on to Island Records and put out the single “Do You Remember The First Time,” which hit the UK top 40 charts in 1994. Pulp then released their biggest single to date, “Common People,” a song that thumbed its nose at the glamourisation of lower class culture. “Common People” achieved hit status across the pond, and Pulp would headline at the huge Glastonbury festival in 1995. They released their last album in 2001, entitled “We Love Life”, and called it quits afterwards.
With the announcement of their reunion concert, however, Wireless Tickets 2011 have been highly sought after, especially since they have hinted that this may be their last concert together. Luckily, Seatwave.com has Pulp fans covered, with tickets available now!
Pulp to Play Reunion Show at 2011 Wireless Festival. Britpop band Pulp is reuniting to play live at the 2011 Wireless Festival. The 2011 performance will be the first time the entire Pulp lineup (Jarvis Cocker, Candida Doyle, Nick Banks, Mark Webber, Steve Mackey, and Russell Senior) will perform together since 1996. The news came as a shock to most, given Cocker's consistent denials of reunions to the press, but Pulp fans are incredibly excited to get their hands on Pulp tickets for Wireless Festival 2011.
Pulp played a major part of the 90's Britpop music scene and their album Different Class reached the number one spot on UK music charts. Although the band was formed back in 1978, Pulp didn't truly hit its stride until the mid-1990's. The band's biggest hits include disco-influenced chart toppers like "Common People" and "Sorted for E's & Wizz."
The Wireless Festival is a multi-day music festival at London's historic Hyde Park and past festival headliners have included megastars like Jay-Z, P!nk, and Kanye West. The anticipated Pulp Hyde Park concert is a main headliner of the 2011 Wireless festival and Pulp tickets are expected to go on sale on Friday 12 November 2011.
