Rod Stewart to headline Hard Rock Calling

It has been announced today that Rod Stewart will be headlining this years Hard Rock Calling Festival in Hyde Park. Rod Stewart is a Music Legend who has won Grammys and worldwide acklaim for his soulful music. Rod Stewart will perform on Sunday 26th June at the now traditional music festival in London’s Hyde Park.
Rod Stewart has being in the music business for over 25 years and in that time has had 7 number one singles , together with an amazing 27 top ten albums in the UK. Rod Stewart is one of the best loved performs in the UK and US, and is one of the best selling music artists of the last 25 years.
This will be Rod’s first festival performance in many many years. He is known for his distintive voice, he started his career with Jeff Beck Group, and he then went on to front Faces with Ronnie Wood of the Rolling Stones. However it was his solo work which made him a world star, with hits like Maggie May, Sailing , Do you think im sexy, and Baby Jane. Rod Stewart is one of the great entertainers.
Hard Rock are celebrating their 40th anniversary celebration and are happy that Rod Stewart will be there to celebrate it.
This is the 6th Hard Rock Calling and has established itself as a more mature music festival having previously attracted the likes of the Bruce Springsteen, Paul McCartney, Pearl Jam, Neil Young, and Eric Clapton, Stevie Wonder, Aerosmith, Peter Gabriel, The Killers and The Police. Rod Stewart joins previously announced headliners Bon Jovi on the bill.
Tickets for Rod Stewart at the Hard Rock Cafe go on sale on Friday 11 March 2011. Vodafone customers can buy tickets 48 hours before they go on general sale. Also their will be VIP Experiences and Hospitality available.
