With the fantastic news that founding member Robbie Williams has returned to one of Europe’s biggest super group, Take That, speculation arose that it wouldn’t be long until a true reunion tour came together. Lo and behold, fans holding their breath to buy Take That tickets rejoiced as a 2011 stadium tour has now been announced for the UK. With stops in Glasglow, London, Manchester, Cardiff, and Sunderland, tickets for Take That are now available for fans on Seatwave.com.


Take That first formed in 1990 with Gary Barlow, Howard Donald, Jason Orange, Mark Owen and Robbie Williams, and quickly rose to the top of the pops with their stirring ballads and dance tunes. They have accrued 22 top 40 hits in the UK, with 11 even hitting the very top spot at number 1. Even with their fame, inner conflict caused Robbie Williams to break away from the band, causing them to break up in 1996. However, when a popular documentary came out about the sucessful band in 2005, which was subsequently followed by a tie-in greatest hits album, the band decided to get back together without Robbie Williams in 2006. A big reunion tour was not announced, so those looking for take that tickets were out of luck. A few albums followed, but it was the 2010 announcement of the return of Williams to the popular band that got everyone interested in a set of Take That Tickets London and any other UK spot.


Take That confirmed their UK and European Tour at a packed press conference this morning. The Take That tour will be entitled the Progress Live 2011 presented by Samsung. Take That appeared at the press conference with the original 5 piece including Robbie Williams. Robbie confirmed he will play some of his own songs during the concerts. The Take that tour will consist of 14 stadium dates in the UK and then will also do a further 6 shows in Europe. The Take That tour will start on 30th May 2010 at the stadium of light in Sunderland and will move on to The City of Manchester Stadium, Cardiff’s Millennium Stadium, Dublin Croke Park, Glasgow Hampden Park, Birmingham Villa Park and finally London’s Wembley Stadium for four nights.
